Freshwater Home

This 1930s Californian Bungalow was completely transformed inside and out incorporating the latest technologies to create a low maintenance, resort-style sanctuary.

The building challenge for this house was to hide the sustainable design features and conveniences to support the resort-style appearance. And being low-maintenance didn’t mean losing any available automation or additional features that add comfort to a home. Outside, an under-house rainwater storage for laundry and garden use was installed. The garden irrigation system was automated along with the gates that open on to tropical-style landscaping. Inside, underfloor heating and heated towel rails hide the winter heating solution.

The result is a house that has an extra level of comfort without any extra effort or time on upkeep.
